We don't sell your data. Period.

We built Expense Tracker to help you manage money, not to make money off your personal information. Here's what we collect and why.

1. What We Collect

  • Basic account info: Your name, email, and password (we encrypt passwords, don't worry).
  • Financial data: Transactions, accounts, budgets, and goals you add. This stays between you and us.
  • Usage data: How often you use the app, which features you like. Helps us make things better.
  • Payment info: We don't store your credit card details. Paddle handles all payments securely.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To show you your financial dashboard and reports
  • To send you important notifications about your account
  • To improve the app and fix bugs
  • To respond to your support requests

We'll never email you spam or sell your email to advertisers. Promise.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data lives on secure servers in Europe. We use encryption, firewalls, and all that technical stuff to keep things safe. But no system is 100% secure - if there's a breach, we'll tell you immediately.

4. Third Parties We Work With

  • Paddle: Processes your payments. They need your email and payment info to charge you.
  • Cloudflare: Hosts our website and protects it from attacks.
  • Database: We use PostgreSQL to store your data securely.

Each of these companies has their own security measures. We only work with ones we trust.

5. Your Rights

You can:

  • Download all your data anytime from your profile page
  • Delete your account and everything in it (go to Settings → Delete Account)
  • Ask us what data we have about you
  • Correct any wrong information

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. Nothing creepy. You can disable cookies in your browser, but then you'll have to log in every time.

7. Children's Privacy

Expense Tracker isn't for kids under 13. If we find out a child signed up, we'll delete their account.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we change how we handle your data, we'll email you and post a notice in the app. You'll have 30 days to object before the changes take effect.

We're serious about privacy. If you're from the EU, we comply with GDPR. If you're from California, we comply with CCPA. If you're from anywhere else, we treat your data with the same respect.
